Box of Frogs were an English rock band formed in 1983 by former members of the Yardbirds, who released their first album in 1984.
The core group consisted of Chris Dreja, Paul Samwell-Smith, and Jim McCarty.
Vocals on their eponymous album were done by John Fiddler (formerly of Medicine Head and British Lions).

Many musicians guested on their albums (including guitarists Rory Gallagher, Earl Slick and Steve Hackett, harmonica player Mark Feltham, and keyboardists Max Middleton and Peter-John Vettese).
Former Yardbirds bandmates Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page played lead guitar on parts of their first and second albums, respectively.

This is an album of superstars gathered to honor one of the most important bands in the blues/rock part of “the British Invasion.”
They had 3 guitar “gods” pass through their ranks, Clapton, Beck and Page. Beck and Page were in the ban together for a short while.
When he was originally forming Led Zep, Page originally wanted to call them, “The New Yardbirds.” I saw the last incarnation of the Yardbirds, and several songs later appeared on LZ’s first album, most notably, :Dazed and Confused.”
This album could not do a better job of honoring The Yardbirds. It is rumored that Clapton, Beck, and Page are all on here, as well as Rory Gallagher.
Just to be snarky, one of the guitarists who failed his audition to replace Clapton was one Pete Townsend, who, IMHO, still needs to take guitar lessons.
He’s not worthy of being mentioned among these guitar greats, other than as the guy who couldn’t make the cut. Sure, he’s filthy rich now, bot as the saying goes, there’s no accounting for taste.
